History Stories - October 20-25, 2008 - YEA @ GCCAH - YEA
is thrilled to celebrate Black History Month with something for
the children in all of us. These two collections of stories are
brilliantly adapted and performed by storytellers Veronica Byrd
and Bert Tanner. "Anywhere Everywhere Stories" are a collection
of stories for children ages 3 to 8 from around the world and their
own backyard. "The Bridge That Brought Us Over", created for kids
5 to 13, is a celebration of the African-American spirit from the
middle passage
to present
day.
Colors of Love - December 10-21, 2008 - 14th Street Playhouse -
YEA's holiday children's favorite returns to the stage with this fabulous
original musical created especially for the enjoyment of young children.
Created as the debut production of YEA's Tippy Toes Arts Program, Colors
of Love celebrates the real value of the holiday season - family,
togetherness, cooperation and love.
Urban Holiday Soup - December 11-21, 2008 - 14th Street Playhouse-
YEA's perennial holiday favorite returns with a brand new helping of
music, comedy, dance
and theatre. This fun-filled variety show is sure to have you laughing
and your whole family leaving the theatre with a song. So grab a spoon
and come on down.
Jeremy and the Lie - April 14-25, 2009 - The Kroc Center Atlanta - YEA finishes our first three-show Tippy Toes Arts Series with an original musical
children's
production written and directed by YEA Alum Sharisa Whatley. Produced
as a partnership between YEA's Tippy Toes Arts and GRIP Programs, this
event features several YEA alumni.
